Our Dvar Torah: Having Done All You Can To Stand, STAND!

A Dvar Torah for Parsha Nitzavim: Deuteronomy 29:9 - 30:20
© By Rabbi Shlomo Nachman ben Ya'akov*

Today, we find ourselves on the very cusp of Rosh Hashanah once again. Hopefully, we have humbled ourselves and afflicted our souls during the Month of Elul in preparation for this awesome period of blessings. Hopefully, we have sincerely sought our fellows’ forgiveness for our intentional and unintentional wrongs and begged HaShem for Divine Rectification. Considering the likely challenges the new year will bring, I sincerely hope we have all done our best to clean our slates with our neighbors and with HaShem. Chances are the upcoming year is going to fundamentally change our world and bring us closer to the Redemption.

On Erev Rosh Hashanah, we will come together once again and enter into the High Holy Days and ask HaShem to purify what we have not or could not correct.

Understand this well: As our consciousnesses’ are cleansed, we enter into the state of purity known as Devekut! In that blessed state, we can become tzadikim! We can be—you should pardon the phrase, Born Again! This is where that phrase comes from. Many believe that the revelation of Mashiach ben David will occur on a Rosh Hashanah, which is why so many of our Breslov brothers and sisters are currently in Uman, Ukraine! Whether or not we attain and maintain this state of consciousness is our decision, of course. God grants each of us freedom.

As with most areas of life, the tzadikim begin on a low level where their yetzer hatov only slightly surpasses their yetzer hara. But as the tzadik develops in righteousness and wisdom, the level of holiness increases until the positive side greatly surpasses the negative. Coincidentally, as the tzadik spiritually matures, attacks from their enemies often increase proportionately. This awakening process is known as Tikun or Soul Correction. It is our never-ending journey into Self and God Consciousness and Realization!

Hear me, my friends, HaShem is with the tzadikim as He is with no others because while on the state of Devekut the tzadik dwells in the Divine Presence and performs His Sacred Will! Those who offend the tzadikim offend their LORD! The greater their devekut, the greater our offenses if we come against them! Consider the following from II Kings chapter 1:

After Ahab’s death, Moab rebelled against Israel.

Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber at Samaria and was injured. So he sent messengers, whom he instructed: “Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury.”

But an angel of Adonai said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Go and confront the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them, ‘Is there no Elohim in Israel that you go to inquire of Baal-zebub, the elohim of Ekron?

Assuredly, thus said Adonai: You shall not rise from the bed you are lying on, but you shall die.’” And Elijah went.

The messengers returned to Ahaziah, and he asked, “Why have you come back?”

They answered him, “A man came toward us and said to us, ‘Go back to the king who sent you, and say to him: Thus said Adonai: Is there no Elohim in Israel that you must send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the elohim of Ekron? Assuredly, you shall not rise from the bed you are lying on but shall die.’”

“What sort of man was it,” he asked them, “who came toward you and said these things to you?”

“A hairy man,” they replied, “with a leather belt tied around his waist.” “That’s Elijah the Tishbite!” he said.

Then he sent a captain of fifty to him along with his fifty men. He climbed up to him and found him sitting at the top of a hill. “Man of Elohim,” he said to him, “by order of the king, come down!”

Elijah replied to the captain of the fifty, “If I am a man of Elohim, let fire come down from heaven and consume you with your fifty men!” And fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.

So the king sent to him another captain with his fifty men. He addressed him: “Man of Elohim, by order of the king, come down at once!”

But Elijah answered, “If I am a man of Elohim, let fire come down from heaven and consume you with your fifty men!” And the fire of Elohim came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.

Then he sent a third captain of fifty with his fifty men. The third captain of fifty climbed to the top, knelt before Elijah, and implored him, saying, “Oh, man of Elohim, please have regard for my life and the lives of these, your fifty servants!

Already fire has come from heaven and consumed the first two captains of fifty and their men; I beg you, have regard for my life!”

Then the angel of Adonai said to Elijah, “Go down with this man and do not be afraid of him.” So he rose and went down with him to the king.

He said to him, “Thus said Adonai: Because you sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron—as if Elohim was not in Israel whose Word you could have sought—assuredly, you will not rise from the bed which you are lying on; but you shall die.”

And Ahaziah died according to the Word Adonai had spoken through Elijah.—

When the Nephilim spawn running our nation and world, who are plotting to destroy everything our forebearers left to us, say, “Jump!” Don’t ask them, “How high?” rather, answer them, “NO! I will NEVER again bend my knee before you or your demonic plans! You are nothing but a weed in the Garden of my G-d! In time, He will pluck you out and cast you into the garbage heap of history! Into Gehennah! In the meantime, stay out of my way! I refuse to comply!”

Tell these peddlers of hypocrisy and death, “My Body, My Choice! I will not take your putrid soul-destroying injections!” Say to them, “Hands off my body! Hands off my religion! Hands off my country!”

Brothers and sisters, to STAND against evil requires strong emunah! KNOW: The more intensely we live in proximity with HaShem through true Torah knowledge, hitbodedut, and kavanah, the stronger our emunah becomes and the more determined our enemies will be! Like Daniel in Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon, we declare that this evil kingdom will NEVER force us to bend our knees to Haman! To Beelzebub! To the Globalists nor ‘the Great Reset to Paganism’! No matter what they do to us! They can take our jobs, they can cancel our health care, they can do whatever HaShem permits them to do, but KNOW THIS: We will not bow before them! We STAND by our God-given free will as free homo sapiens! We will not become homo deus, which in reality are homo diablos! WE DECIDE what we will accept and what we will reject in consult with HaShem and His Torah; consequences be damned! They CAN NOT force a person to do ANYTHING whose emunah in HaShem is strong!

Understand this well: If you comply, that was YOUR CHOICE! Own it! When they declare that we can neither buy nor sell without surrendering our God-Given rights, as the Globalists are pushing on the world, we say, “So be it! God will feed His tzadikim just like He fed us in the Wilderness! He will deliver us from lion dens just as He delivered Daniel! There are many records of His caring for His people! And if we die, so be it! We die for His glory! Hold fast to our Beloved no matter what these demons do!

AND hold fast to the community of the true tzadikim, the remnant who are still holding to HaShem, because YOU are one of them! When the haters come against you, they are really dishonoring God because YOU are His Child, and YOU have chosen to Stand however imperfectly! May YOU and I, all of us, choose to STAND.

Despite the rampant religious hypocrisy that surrounds us today, even though SOME Jews — including some of the previously most honorable and respected among us — just like SOME Christians and others are choosing to betray HaShem and His Covenant, this only means that it is more important than ever that you and I STAND FIRM as we prepare to enter into the new year! So stand with dignity and betachon, even like the martyrs of the past, and honor all who are standing despite petty differences! Focus on their strengths, faith, and positive accomplishments, not their apparent weaknesses! We are not alone in this ongoing war! Many people today are standing. So, having done everything you can to stand, continue to STAND!

As the Tzadikim of past generations have declared in the face of the same evils we are now facing:

“If it is wrong in your eyes to serve Adonai, then choose this day Whom you will serve—whether it be the gods your fathers served in the regions beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But, as for me and my house, we will serve the Adonai!”
